Anuranjita Kumar has been a corporate professional for over twenty-five years and has traversed the world in various assignments. She has held a variety of senior Human Resources roles in Asia, North America and Europe during her stint at Citi Bank. Currently she is Managing Director, Human Resources, International Hubs, Royal Bank of Scotland. Anuranjita is well-known as a HR transformation leader focused on building the strategic capabilities of employees, global talent management and in cultivating a shared and vibrant corporate culture.
Anu is extremely committed to spearheading diversity and inclusions initiatives. She has keen interest in issues related to cross-border migration, diversity and racism. Her first book “Can I Have it All?” beautifully documents the trials and triumphs of her journey through the corporate landscape.
She has been recognised as amongst the ‘Most Powerful Women Leaders’ by Fortune India in 2013 and in The Economic Times Women Ahead – a list of the top 25 women achievers and career role models in India in 2018.
Anu is the Chairperson of the American India Foundation Board India, Advisory board member of SHRM India, Director on the RBSIPL board as well as on the RHEG advisory board of the new upcoming Plaksha University.
She is a management graduate from XLRI, having specialized in Human Resources. She attended Welhams Girls School and is a gold medallist and topper in industrial psychology from the Delhi University. Anuranjita is also a certified diver. She is keenly involved in volunteering with underprivileged children and enjoys spending time with her family. An avid reader and an equally passionate writer, she ensures she constantly connects with students to deep-dive into, in her words ‘the newness of thoughts and ideas’. Anu is married to Sandeep Kataria and has two kids, Avni and Sid.
